NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma in Care

The course is aimed at individuals who want careers as Senior Healthcare Workers, Support Workers, Community-Based Senior Care Assistants and Care Workers working with people with dementia and disabilities.

The entry requirements for this course are:

Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement to be able to show competence in both knowledge and skills.

You will be required to attend an informal interview which may include completing an assessment based on your prior qualifications.

In order to qualify for the programme, you will need to submit a completed application form which will be provided to you. This form should be provided to us within a month of enrolment, along with the following;

• Proof of educational qualifications
• You must provide an identification document such as a passport or a driving license.

Upon submission of the documents, your application will be reviewed. If you fail to meet the entry requirements of the programme, your application will not be accepted.

The NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care has been developed to give learners the opportunity to cover wide range of areas including:

• dementia awareness, mental health and well-being, supporting individuals with their physical andemotional care, daily living needs and healthcare procedures.

The content is also aligned with the knowledge and skills required for the Adult Care Worker and Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship standards.

To pass this course, the learner must regularly submit assignments. The purpose of the assessment is to ensure that effective learning has taken place to give learners the opportunity to:

• Meet the standard determined by the assessment criteria
• Achieve the learning outcomes

All units within these qualifications are internally assessed. The qualifications are criterion referenced-based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes. Learners can take 12-18 months to complete this course.
